Step 1: Access Windows Recovery Environment
In the recovery environment open command prompt under Troubleshoot > Advanced or by pressing Shift + F10
Step 2: Run Check Disk
Type the following command and press Enter: chkdsk C: /f /r
Replace "C:" with the drive letter of the hard disk you want to scan.
Step 3: Wait for the Scan to Complete
Do not interrupt the scan or turn off your computer until it completes.
Step 4: Restart Your Computer
