Run Memory test and diagnostics

Modified on Fri, 14 Apr, 2023 at 1:08 PM

You can run a memory test in Windows by following these steps:

- To launch the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool, open the Start menu, type “Windows Memory Diagnostic”, and press Enter. You can also press Windows Key+R, type “mdsched.exe” into the Run dialog that appears, and press Enter²⁵.

- Make sure you’ve saved and closed all the work on your computer and click Restart now and check for problems (recommended) if you want Windows to do a diagnostic test NOW¹.

- By default, Windows 10 will boot into the Standard test mode¹.

I hope this helps!
