In this guide we will be showing you how to create a system restore point manually as well as ensure that your device system protection is turned on. This is particularly useful in times when your device is shutdown without warning or when loss of data can be critical.


1. Please press the "windows key + s". This will open the search bar. Next please type "create a restore point" in the search bar as shown and select the option provide as indicate by the screenshot below.



2. In the System Protection window you will be shown for what the system restore point will be created. Furthermore we can configure these settings by opening the Configuration menu as shown below.




3. Here we can allocate the amount of disk space that the restore point will make use of as well as turn system protection on or off. Our recommendation will be to always leave this setting on.




4. Once complete we can select the "OK" option and  return to the system protection window.



5. If you are happy with the settings we can select the "Create" option and when prompted assign a name to the restore point.




6. The restore point will now be created as requested.
